Sessions & Fees

After an initial assessment period, I aim to offer patients a regular ongoing appointment time. I offer appointments in-person at my Spring Hill office and also by telehealth via secure video calls. If you are interested in scheduling a telehealth appointment, please contact me so we can discuss your circumstances to decide whether telehealth appointments will meet your needs.

  • Individual Psychotherapy: $220 (60 minutes). After your appointment, an invoice for your session will be emailed to you. You can then pay the full amount to the bank account detailed on the invoice. If my fee deters you from receiving care, I invite you to discuss this with me or your doctor to consider other low-cost options.
  • Cancellation Fees: If you need to cancel or postpone your appointment, please give at least 48 hours notice. A cancellation fee of the full session fee may be charged if the session cannot be rescheduled within the same week.
  • Additional Services: Consultations or documentation requiring 15 minutes or longer will be charged relative to the time taken. I will let you know if a fee applies and provide an estimated cost for the service at the time the request is made.

Medicare Rebate

To be eligible to receive a Medicare rebate for psychological services you must be referred by your GP, psychiatrist, or paediatrician with a Mental Health Care Plan (MHCP) before your appointment. Under a valid MHCP you will be eligible for a Medicare rebate of $93.35 per session, for up to 10 sessions per calendar year.

Private Health Cover

Psychological services can be claimed with most private health care. However you cannot make a claim through private health insurance for a session you have already claimed a Medicare rebate. Please contact your insurance provider to determine whether your level of cover includes psychology services.
